Master Classes

Diane and Paul bring a rich and varied skill set to your students and community at large for workshops/master classes/residencies. Both have extensive hands on experience as working professional musicians. Both have a great desire to encourage, teach and enlighten young music lovers in their skills in order to succeed in this field.

Diane has over 25 years of voice teaching experience. She maintains a private voice studio and has been adjunct voice instructor at Grand Valley State University, Kuiper College, Kalamazoo College, and currently teaches at Grand Rapids Community College and Hope College. Singers chosen to participate in a Master Class will benefit from Ms. Penning’s experience as she guides and instructs them in how to give their best possible performance.

As a published arranger and composer in varied genres (including choral, orchestral, big band, solo vocal and instrumental), tenor/pianist/conductor Paul Langford brings a formidable skill set for a variety of educational clinics. He is equally at home in front of vocal and instrumental groups of all kinds, and can custom-design clinics and workshops to suit.
